Kinnelon responds to a leaf fire in 20 degree temps.

Kinnelon firefighters battled fridgid temperatures to extinguish a leaf pile fire on Tintle Road today. Embers emptied from a fireplace too soon are suspected to have caused the fire. About 1500 gallons of water was applied as the volunteers dug into the pile with hooks and shovels. The incident took about 45 minutes to completly secure.
